Cupertino, West Sacramento Representatives Present on Implementing E-Government Solutions

Two well respected California city management representatives who are also Comcate clients shared their thoughts and experiences with peers at the California League of Cities conference in San Jose. Rick Kitson, Public and Environmental Affairs Director for the City of Cupertino, and Jon Robinson, Deputy City Manager for the City of West Sacramento spoke in depth to an audience eager to hear their thoughts and recommendations. The presentation covered the opportunities and pitfalls they experienced in striving to offer their citizens access to a wide range of services over the internet. Mr. Kitson, representing the City of Cupertino, home of numerous technology companies and technically savvy citizens, described his city’s ongoing dedication to staying on top of the technology curve in order to offer residents the same level of service and efficiency that they routinely expect from the private sector. Mr. Robinson described his city’s experience in developing the internal mechanisms and expertise to plan successful implementations and roll them out to a diverse community.
